Description:

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING is a degree program carried out at the International Faculty of Engineering by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The program includes: mechanics, automation, control theory, applications of electronics, and practical and theoretical training in the design and operation of modern mechatronic devices. Students learn the fundamentals of construction, methods of designing mechanical-electronic devices, biomedical engineering, measurement process automation, advanced technologies, and new materials. They learn to use professional computer software; they also become familiar with selected IT, economics, regulatory, and environmental topics.

CORE SUBJECTS:

  • Materials Science
  • Basic Mechanical Engineering
  • Computer Aided Design
  • Electronics and Electrical Engineering
  • Modern Physics
  • Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics
  • Design and Maintenance of Machines
  • Advanced Mechanical Engineering
  • Automatics and Robotics
  • Energy Resources and Conversion
  • Dynamics of Machines

Each student enrolled on a degree program at the International Faculty of Engineering is required to complete at least one semester of the program, usually the sixth semester (mobility semester) at a university abroad.

Graduate profile:

Graduates with a degree in MECHANICAL ENGINEERING are prepared to work in industries manufacturing mechanical and mechatronic systems - electromechanical, automotive, household appliances, aerospace, machine tools industry. They will also be employed in industries and other facilities operating and servicing mechanical and mechatronic systems as well as machines and equipment in which they are used.

The skills developed during the program also enable them to set up manufacturing and/or service companies.

This broad range of employment opportunities results from the versatility of their education. In addition to engineering knowledge, the curriculum also includes: computer science, organization and management, foreign languages, marketing and the humanities.
